Glenn Abell is the Vice President & Head of LEGO Retail (direct to consumer) for Europe, Middle East and Africa which is a division of The LEGO Group, a privately held toy company based in Billund, Denmark. The LEGO Group is engaged in the development of children’s creativity through playing and learning. Based on the world-famous LEGO® brick, the company today provides toys, experiences and teaching materials for children in more than 140 countries.
In his role, Glenn is accountable for LEGO branded stores as well as the E-commerce platforms in EMEA and has a passion for the 1-to-1 relationship with the shopper and consumer. The LEGO Group enjoys a tremendously loyal consumer base, driven by a Brand which represents imagination, creativity, learning, quality and fun. In recent years, the commercial agenda, product development and marketing innovation have engaged consumers in ways that have helped the company expand its influence in the toy space and consumer products industry as a whole.
Glenn has been with The LEGO Group for 15 years holding various sales, marketing and general management positions in the United States, Canada and Australia prior to moving to London in his current role. Previous to his time with the LEGO company, Glenn worked in the US beverage industry for Evian, Cadbury Beverages and Anheuser-Busch in a variety of sales and marketing functions. Glenn has experience across company, industry and charity boards while frequently being asked to speak a universities and conferences.
His 20+ years of experience in the toy and FMCG industries has given Glenn a tremendous appreciation for the power of brands and people’s ability to identify with them.

Bárbara Martínez has been leading digital projects (online stores, corporate websites, mobile apps, social media apps) for more than ten years. She has worked for national and international brands such as Diageo, Vodafone, MasterCard, L’Oreal, Warner Home Video… She has also helped local businesses launch and grow their online stores from scratch, and does consultancy projects for companies who want to start their digital transformation or just start adding online campaigns to their marketing plan.
She is currently working as Head of User Experience, CRO and eCommerce at iberia.com since 2015, and is e-Commerce and m-Commerce Professor at Madrid Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to having a Master in Digital Business, Barbara is constantly studying programming and design. This mix of different skills makes it very easy for her, on the one hand, to understand business problems and customer needs; and on the other, to translate them into successful digital products.
Joel is the Co Founder and CEO of Grabble, responsible for one of the most innovative shopping apps available on the market. At launch it was featured by Apple as Best New App in 34 Countries. Grabble is changing the way people shop for fashion, in the UK and beyond with over half a million downloads with the original inspiration coming from a design scribbled on the back of a napkin. Joel has a huge passion for interface design and user experience, with the whole Grabble team being centered around perfecting the art of story-led shopping on Mobile. Prior to Joel’s Grabble journey, he was a consultant at PwC for 4 years working with Tech and Teleco clients.
Nupur ManchandaChief Operating Officer, Practicology
Nupur Manchanda is the Chief Operating Officer and oversees the delivery of all client work, as well as having a particular interest in multichannel strategy and organisational change projects. She has worked in the field of ecommerce and multichannel retailing for over 15 years; and been responsible for the profit and loss of major online retailers, including Early Learning Centre, Mothercare, Toptable and New Look. Her experience on the front-line of retail is complemented by the eight years she spent working in digital advertising and marketing agencies. Sacha Wilson is Avalara’s Director of Sales for EMEA, helping businesses of all size automate the complexities of global tax compliance. Prior to joining Avalara in 2014, he spent more than 20 years in e-commerce sales and management at blue-chips such as Amazon, Arcelor-Mittal, British Aerospace and several dotcom start-ups. Over 11 years at Amazon he led various sales, account management and marketing teams involved in growing Amazon’s EU Marketplace as well as launching new seller programmes including Fulfilment by Amazon, Amazon Payments and Product Ads. He brings a depth in understanding of ecommerce and the tax issues facing European businesses involved in global trade.

He was former CMO of DailyDeal and Head of Marketing at BuyVIP, two startups he sold to Google respectively Amazon. His analytical background in market research gained him the leadership for the International Marketing team of AOL in Dulles, VA. Cliff StevensonInternational Trade Expert and Brexit Strategy Consultant
Cliff Stevenson is a UK-based freelance economic consultant that for the past 29 years has worked for governments and businesses on all aspects of trade and regulatory policy affecting access to the EU and global markets. He started his career as a trade economist in the UK Department of Trade & Industry during the Uruguay Round of tariff negotiations. Later in his career, Cliff was Chief Economist in the Trade & Competition team at one of the world’s top 10 law firms, Mayer Brown.
